LAURA FOREST, LCSW

"And the time came when the risk to remain in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
In 1995, Laura and her husband moved to beautiful Bend Oregon to start a psychotherapy practice and raise their two daughters on their small farm outside of Bend. When Laura is not spending time with her family, she enjoys playing with her horses, riding her bike, adventure travel and just being out in nature feeling grateful.
Laura is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist. She has worked as a clinical social worker in the following areas:
"I believe that every person has the ability to move forward and achieve health, balance and healing. One of the most unifying truths is that we seek to live our lives in relative peace and find our own personal meaning. Painful experiences, distorted beliefs we create about ourselves, traumas and life’s ambushes can lead us off our path of satisfying relationships, health and happiness.
Counseling is an avenue for exploration, clarity in values and healing from life’s past traumas.
Through my years of training and practicing as a psychotherapist, I will help you strengthen your innate ability to move beyond the obstacles that stand in the way of living the life you want.
My approach is holistic, collaborative and respectful. I offer a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space to help you identify your unique goals and needs and move forward in your healing journey."
